Hi,I bought a 164 built in South Africa and imported in the UK on the 22/05/1980.
It started life registered as TJ 333399, then became JTA 734V in the UK and in 1992 VOD57J (I dont know why).
The car is white with vinyl dark beige (tan)interior and strangely has straight front bumper and the speedometer tells miles but the odometer kilometers!.
It is manual (no overdrive) and no sunroof.The number stamped in the A front right pillar is: 1641942*023719.
There is also riveted in the engine bay an idenfication tag: p164 1169, built by motor assembly ltd, durban, south africa
Also, a little tag screwed with a number 23/358.
The car is in very good condition and is driven daily by my wife. I plan to convert it to LPG.
